News this week - 16th March

This week we have been busy exploring St Patrick’s Day. We have been looking at how St Patrick’s Day is traditionally celebrated in Ireland and the children have made their own shamrocks, decorating them beautifully.

We have been listening to the story of the Rainbow Fish, this has led on to a wonderful PSED activity and we have had some very interesting discussions focusing on how we can be kind to others, make them happy and how we feel when we make others happy.  The children have also decorated their own Rainbow Fish and these have been put up on display in the nursery.

We have continued to explore dinosaurs, learning about how some were carnivores and some were herbivores.  We have our own dinosaur egg in the nursery and we are all very excited whilst waiting for it to hatch.  I wonder what type of dinosaur it will be?
